Practical 2:  Basic Design.

 

Below are the two animal designs that I created:

 

The Panda Bear.

 

This is my favourite design of the two.  It is simple but clear.  I spent a long time on the eyes to get them looking just as they do - soft and endearing.

I chose the word "patch" to represent the black eye patches which are one of the most recognisable features on a panda bear.

The Kitten.

 

I used the same soft and endearing eyes as I did in the panda bear above to keep a theme going, and offset the eyes a little to make him a little dumber and cuter.  I chose the word pounce as that is pretty typical behaviour from a kitten.
